In 1983 4.72 billion people were alive to witness the release of Distressed Denim by Jordache and the debut of a young actor named Chad Bentley. His first acting appearance landed him as one of six teens showcasing the new look. On camera his talent stands out but what isn't shown is his behind the scenes tenacity and creative direction. Hundreds of takes and an insistence on being behind the camera framing shots put him on the creative director's radar. He tilted shots and shifted the horizon lines as if it was advertising commonplace. The young actor made a name for himself that day in 1983 and he never looked back.
